Should the polyps be extending more? What conditions are ideal? Lights , flow? A friend gave me this frag and he called it chilli pepper coral.

Completely unscientific guess that its something in the genus Capnella based on the polyp layout.

Yeah looking at how flexible I would guess colt coral. A picture with it not bent over from the flow would probably make for an easier id. LOL, all the little anemones around it....aiptasia. ;)

EVeryone always comments on my anemone problem. I kalk bomb all 200 of them and the come back within 2 weeks. I need some natural predators. The coral is not bent over from flow. Its just weak i guess. I just putit in the tank. Assuming it is colt/capnella, What kind of flow and light requirements does it enjoy?

Yes I noticed after that the coral was bent, but the anemones were not. Colt corals are very hardy and will adapt to any sort of reef type lighting and moderate flow.

My colts survive in any flow, they grow stockier in a high flow. I have 250W Halides and they love it at the top, middle and bottom of the tank, I remove and/or sell them off all the time

I'd probably get rid of them but they were my first coral and I'm kinda sentimental.
