ok..no picture, but i bought a small piece of rubble with 5 mushrooms on it from "that fish place" in lancaster pa, this weekend. just got home from work, ad noticed 4 or 5 small flatworms on the mushrooms. they are brownish/reddish in color and moved fairly quickly when i tried to grab one with tweezers.
i'll try to snap a pic later, but i've already moved the rock to the QT tank, just incase these are detrimental.

does this description ring a bell for anyone?

I don't know if they are harmful or not.. a fresh water dip took care of the ones I had on a red mushroom a few months back... after the dip, I put the mushroom in the quarantine tank just to be on the safe side...

Yeah, I have those softie flatworms too. They don't seem to hurt anything unless they become numerous, but they are ugly. I do a fresh water dip occasionally to remove them.
