Can anyone please help me in providing a idea for this coral, care, feeding, water flow & light.
I am unable to locate this coral on line or in any books.
Thank you for your help !

I'm pretty sure it is a Turbinaria species, commonly called a pagoda cup coral. I have not personally seen this color variation though.

Moderate light, moderate flow. The biggest thing is to make sure that the prodigious about of mucus they can make gets washed away periodically.

I don't think that's a turbinaria. Looks more like Mycedium elephantotus (Elephant nose coral) to me. Either that or an echinophyllia (aspera?), but my money's on the mycedium, given the coloration (that purple-gray color is supposedly one of the possible reasons for its common name) and that the corallites are pointing uniformly outwards, towards the edge (if they weren't, I'd err towards echinophyllia).

Nice one too. Reminds me of one I had in my old tank.

Nope. I still say it's mycedium. Note the way the corallites are all aligned so they face outwards towards the rim of the coral (rather than randomly, as in alien099's pic), the clear nose-like shape of the corallites and the smoother tissue than in the picture alien099 posted. Though the coloring is similar, I'd put money on it being a mycedium.

Don't matter how many times you post it, I still think it's Mycedium. :P

sorry bout the same pic. Had another I thought I was posting but it kept posting the same pic. not sure what i did wrong yet. But anyhow I to can see it being Mycedium. Since I am by No means at all an expert at corals I am glad to have learned of this new coral. The peice I have I was just told that it was Alien eye at the place of purchase. I had some pics of it but couldnt get them to post. So sorry for confusion.

I think the pic you posted was an Echinophyllia. Notice how the coral in the pic you posted has a much rougher texture than the coral in the original picture. It is amazing, however, that two totally different types of coral can look so similar. It should be noted that even the most expert opinions in identifying corals based on a picture are just guesses. While we may be able to call out names with some degree of confidence, a coral species cannot be trully identified without basically disecting a polyp.

Which one? The first one is mycedium. I'd bet your house on it.
