New Reefer
ok here it goes i've been running a nano reef tank for about a year 10 gallon! I know everyone told me it would be nearly impossible to keep it going because it was my first salt tank and all. But i was confident and it really work out well! I did however get tired of going to the petstore and gazing at all these beautiful fish and inverts that i couldn't have because my tank was already overcrowded! So i did what every reef guy does I went out and bought myself a 90 gallon! wonderful i let it cycle for about 2 months and everything looked great nitrate began to show up.... i moved all my live rock from my little 10 gallon to the new 90 gal. except one piece of sulwahi. i didnt want to move everything at once i have a tiger tail sea cucmber and some crabs and corals that i really wanted to be sure would be ok before i made the final move. anyways with all that new space in the smaller tank i began noticinjg alot of micro movement that i hadn't seen prior. while watching a bristle worm exit a hole in the live rock my peripheral vision caught something else! a small maybe 1.5" worm came out from under the rock. he was white with small thin black bands. he may have been longer but he didnt come all the way out! i looked every where trying to see what this little guy is but nothing has come close..... Except maybe a baby eel? is that even possible? the liverock is atleast 6 months in that tank? i couldn't get a picture of it yet because there was a cheato bush in the way but i will do my best? really curious? do you think an eel baby could have hitched a ride in? do eels hatch or are they born live i dunno? i'm gonna try to get you guys a pic. p.s. i had fresh water aquariums for over ten years..... this salt water stuff is amazing!
