My maxima clam doesnt want to stay on a rock at all. Any time I try to move it up in the tank it finds its way back to the sand bed. A few days ago I put a flat rock under it in the sand bed. Not even 2hrs later the clam moved itself off the rock. So just let it be?

Tank is 40 breeder, 6 t5s mix of 4 ABS and 2 Blueplus (maybe to much light?)

The clam has pretty much answered your question ;)
They prefer to be on the sand bed in low to moderate flow - perhaps there was too much flow up where you were placing it?
It can definitely handle the lighting you are providing, so that isn't an issue.
