Other stated use t5, led, bulb from localrdware store and others. I dont want to end up keep buying different light. Any suggestion based on your experience. Thank you in advance

I went to Home Depot, and bought a 5000k LED bulb. I think it's 60w, maybe 40w. I also picked up a metal reflector, also sold at Home Depot. Find it with the work lights. This fits perfectly on my sump and I am constantly cutting back the cheato. I have live rock in the sump and it has no algae growing on it because the cheato blocks out all the light. I will add picture if I can find the bock, I'll also show the setup.

See below for link to the bulb I am using now. I'm seeing very good chaeto growth compared to previous bulbs. Before this bulb I was using a Rapid LED Par 38 and before that I was using a regular 55K Led bulb from Home Depot.

I use a MarsHydro 300 - not only does it grow Cheato like crazy it also grows all macros like crazy. It's full spectrum and ensures my fuge algae outcompetes anything in the DT...which is sorta the point.

Kessil h380

I was using an LED from home depot with reflector (5000k) for almost a year. I kept chaeto and caulerpa. The light i was using kept everything alive and grew at a slow rate. I decided to go all out on a Kessil h380 and give it a shot. The very first day, the caulerpa started to turn white, possibly going asexual, so i freaked out and tossed it in the trash. The cheat on the other hand started to grow like crazy. In one week it quadrupled in size and my nitrates went down from 8 to 4. I am impressed with the results

also depending on size and how you feed I find that these "new" lights are actually what a lot of reefers need to reduce nutrients possibly to the point where extra feedings or dosing nutrients is required. Also depending on size of fuge and other variables im seeing a HUGE difference in PH.
