POST ANY NATURAL NUTRIENTS EXPORT BEING USED, SUCH AS "SEA PLANTS". DONT POST HOW YOU USE VODKA OR SUCH, JUST NATURAL MEANS. THANKS,

AFTER DEBATING WHAT TYPE OF ALGAE TO USE I NOTICED MOST MR MEMBERS USE CHAETO. BUT ALSO SAW THAT SOME USING IT STILL HAVE EXCESS NUTRIENTS IN TANK, FOR EXAMPLE http://www.manhattanreefs.com/forum/advanced-reefs/54871-denitrifier.html.

WHILE STILL LOOKING FOR SOMETHING BETTER THAN CHAETO SAW DOCUMENTARY ON "KILLER ALGAE". http://www.manhattanreefs.com/forum/general-discussion/61039-killer-algae-science-channel.html
NOW THAT IS ONE NUTRIENT ABSORBER. ASKED DOM IF HE HAS ANY AND MENTIONED HIS DIED CAUSE IT WAS OUTCOMPETED BY Caulerpa prolifera

MY VOTE GOES TO Caulerpa prolifera.

I HAD Caulerpa prolifera ALREADY...LOL....

POST WHAT YOU USE AND HOW GOOD OF AN ABSORBER IS IT.

I have used the form of calerpa prolifera I have" the best" for years and have never heard of anyone telling me it's gone asexual... It's hands down the best nutrient export.. Caulerpa prolifera grows leaves out of other leaves, the stuff I have doesn't.. This is why I say the form I have and got other people into.. Nothing else out grows it...

Yeah you got it from me,,lol.. Alot of people in boston have it also.. Butg here in NY 9out 10 people got it from me wether directly or indirectly... That's why it's the best it grows faster than any macro algae out there..

There are some people that don't run skimmers gfo and just grow macro or hair algae.. I haven't seen these systems in a long term scenario though.. It would be nice if someone who has done just macro could post a pic or some pars.. I do water changes very few times a year, like once or twice and have beautiful coral colors...
I also use a a Natureef denitrifier that's chemical reactions also put trace elements into the water.. Run a huge PM calcium reactor and a skimmer with a "seemingly" endless rating...
