T5 Lighting opinion

For ALL you T5 Lighting users! Would appreciate your feedback and why?

Here is the scenario, soon I'll be setting up a 125 AGA RR 6ft. mixed reef tank. Therefore I’m currently shopping for a 6ft T5 lighting fixture.

Currently, I have the 48” Tek Lighting by Sunlight Supplys, very happy with the fixture. However, they do not make it in the 72”.

For a fixture I would do the ATI Powermodule or SunPower.

You are not building a canopy for the tank? If you do go with a canopy I would go with Icecap retro.

I love the style of the ATI Powermodule and the proven performance you get from them. If you like the Tek T5s you have now, you will be happy with the ATI or Icecap. They have a higher output then the Teks.

Nova's are weak and not a good substitute for MH IMO. Not sure about the other brand you listed.

Tey do not make it in a 72" (6 ft). and not using a canopy!

you can get 2 36" fixtures. Or maybe a goofy idea but get a 24" fixture for the extra length needed.

Rick...I've never been a fan of canopy's...but you got me thinking on the ATI's.
Rich and others who had mention MH, tried them in the past and not sure I want to go back to MH.

i see a tank daily that has thrived under t5's, out of my 7 or 8 tanks all have had t5's. i tried mh and always went back to t5, depending amount of bulbs really not alot less in power

i am also doing a 125 6ft long tank wit a canopy.. i am doing a 6 bulb set up t5 with the icecap 660 balasts, with form the front to back
