Emergency Repair overflow is overflowing!

Something must be stuck the overflow which greatly reduced the drainage raising the water level inside the main display tank AGH!

Emergency measure (auxillary drainage into the sump)

down n to the fishroom sump

Only in a doctor's office can you find mesh to block the pipe from sucking up the fishies.

Now I have to wait until the end of the day to take apart the drains and upgrade to 1 1/2" plumbing.

learned my lesson years ago and put strainers on all my drains as i had a snail get caught in mine

Yea Mike I sure was. I was looking at that overflow on your tank!

both drains are 1 1/2" ..two holes drilled one above the other. The lower just uses a bulk head screen which is enough to handle the flow and the upper I'm using a 90* elbow with a plastic mesh screen which is above the water line in the tank...just in case.

Sorry to hear what happened, did you loose anything? need help, i'm their i get out at 4 and only 1/2 hour away, we should have done it yesterday i had all my plumbing supplies in my car already. but can't cry over spilled milk.

In just 3 1/2 hours I had circulation again this time thru 1 1/2" piping!
