bio pellets mixing

I've used vertex bio pellets for 2 1/2 months. I am low. i wanna try NP pellets .
Can I just add NP to existing vertex or do a complete swap. Aloha Tropics any word ?

If they are a different size, it may screw up your "tumble"

I think you should be good to mix since its only bacteria but i never heard of losing pellets in 2 1/2 months??
maybe to much flow and coming out in your sump??

+1. 2 1/2 months is pretty quick ime. I also agree that the only thing to consider in mixing is how it would affect your tumble rate due to differences in size or density of the pellets.
