For last few years I have been using Coralife salt over the more expensive brightly packaged salt. I swear by the stuff it mixes up easy and its got good numbers and consistency mixes up the same.

I buy the box for 40$ that makes 200g so its cheap to boot.

well I found this today and after looking it over, i am convinced the evidence supports my claims. it also supports choice of bags of salt rather than buckets.

red sea is a good salt and before anyone takes any advice from me I would always hope they do thier own research first.

I will keep using it. not because of the article i just like it.

Ok reefoman and widdy spill it what is that stuff??

Well, that's number one salt in Europe since 1985...
I don't know what else I can tell you about it? Big public aquariums in Germany use this salt...
As long as I live in US (9 years...wow time going fast?) was missing this smell ;) now I can enjoy it again.

This http://aquariumwatertesting.com/AWT_...lysis_0208.pdf Is a bunch of gibberish and has been proven so many times.

How fast a salt dissolves is more of the components used and often cheap salts dissolve the fastest as they contain allot of water and often excessive Chloride. Analytically speaking, SeaChem's "Salinty" is the best salt in purity and is a ***** to dissolve, need to do it slowly and at cooler temps.

Cool but whoever did this test missed few major brands like Aqua Medic, Grotech, Preis Aquaristik...
And I don't believe somebody did is for free so who paid for that?
Any car gonna get you from point A to point B it also has been proven so why people buying Mercedes, BMW or Porsche? Everybody should drive Saturn cause is great car.
If you gonna try all salts by yourself in your tank minimum three months for each one then you gonna probably see which one is good for you. But that's only my opinion... so let me try something different ;)

Regards,
mark
