Where on earth did you hear that? No method can do that. Any method requires testing, unless one has a very expensive machine to monitor all levels and has set points to control those levels where you want them. Furthermore, all additives add some ion that is not needed. For example, when you add baking soda you do not need the Sodium, and it will increase in time unless you do WC.

You guys are reading into something that is not there. **IF you know what your daily Alk, Ca++ and Mg++ demand is **and you does the ***correct amount you can keep your levels pretty much constant for a short time. As corals grow you will be changing that. You can do the same with any sup addition that you can measure. You still need to do 30 % WC once a month to stop the accumulation of ions that bring in the Alk, Ca++ and Mg++, like Na+, SO4- and Cl- which accumulate in time.
