Hey guys, one of my buddies has been using Lanthanum Chloride for a few years to keep phosphates at bay. He drips it into a filter sock slowly because it precipitates and the sock clogs quite fast. He also mentioned that Lanthanum Chloride lowers Alkalinity so to test after dosing. Has anyone tried using it and can you provide feedback and/or comments? Thanks.

Great, thanks. My friend has been using it for years and he has worked at Manhattan Aquariums, Fishtown, etc.. He's an installer and does maintenance for big tanks. I just needed to hear other people's experiences, he swears by it. He said that the public aquariums have been using that for years and they drip it in their sand filters. Thanks again.
