temp usually around 79 80 but have ben getting spikes as high as 82.3
salinity .026
dkh 8- 8.5
cal 420
mg 1240-1280
no2 0
no3 0
nh3 0
ph 8.7

im using a milwalkee ph controller that is brand new (4 - 5 weeks old)
have an mtc procal that is pretty new (set up past 3- 4 weeks)
effluent rate is about 35 ml per min
and bubble count is 1 bubbles every 3 seconds

I haven't been dosing anything
I run my refugium on a reverse photo cycle and I have my main tank light on from 11am-11pm
I have a few plants in the fuge and a couple pieces of halimedia (sp?)in the display
the past few days the ph has been climbing also just a few days ago I restarted the c02 flow to my calcium reactor. I was under the assumption that the cal reactor would make the ph drop?

someone give me a hand thanks!:smash:

just tested with red sea and api kit both are saying 8.2 now. is it the brand probe that is causing the calibration to jump so quickly? also im having some issues with my sps coral do you see anything else in my parameters that would cause an alarm?

I am not a sps guy i have anemones
I my opinion corals need food
this means that there has to be some signs of nitrates and phosphates
this is a juggling act as not to have to much to create nusince algae
you seem new only 27 post go slow and keep tank stable as possible
more people will chime in i am shure

no I don't have the probe in the reactor. its just in the fuge to stop c02 if the tank ph drops too low. my reactor doesn't have a port for the probe (mtc procal)
again thanks for the replies keep them coming please.
