anyone using ESV Salt system

folks,

i purchased this without realizing that when I make RO/DI h2o, I've no idea how many gallons i make (well not that non-specifically) - I have a 44gallon bucket that I typically 'mostly fill' and then mix salt into / use pump and refractometer until the specific gravity is correct.

Any idea how to do this without knowing how much RO/DI water I'm starting with?

really cant mix it correctly like that. if you had between 30-35 gallons you can use the correct measurements for 35 gallons then add ro/di until you have the correct specific gravity.

What is the RO/DI in ? Measure the water level height width and length, if square or like a shoe box. If round, height and diameter of water level. Measure in inches, can be converted to cubic inches, which can be converted to gallons.

I just used a scale to measure the weight of the water. I did it at 5 gallons at a time

i had taken a 5g bucket and after adding 5g marked the container and did till i was at the top so i always knew how much water was in there
