I've read that the ph of the water is VERY important for the results in our tests (example Salifert). So, when I measure the Ca and the Mg in the effluent water of my Ca- Co2 reactor, I can have errors?
Many thanks,
Marco
No. The first step of a calcium test is adding a huge amount of base to rasie the pH and precipitate magnesium hydroxide, so the pH doesn't matter. It also won't impact a magnesium test (at least the Salifert and Hach tests).
