What level of orthophosate is considered a problem. My latest test indicated that it was 0.3 This test was conducted with a Lamatte phosphate test kit. Next question is what compound remover would be recomended for a reef tank. I recently built a refugium but hav'nt had a opportunity to stock it with caulerpa. Also what type of caulerpa is recommended for this purpose. Thank You

Well, I'm not sure exactly where a "problem" would be declared, but it would be below 0.3 ppm. IMO, 0.1 ppm is pushing things.

I've not used it because I use macroalgae to control phosphate and nitrate levels, but many people seem to like Rowaphos as a phospahte binder. Salifert has a new product that just hit the market too.

Thanks Randy, that was a very good article with indepth links. I guess I better get to the LFS and start those macro algea cultures ASAP. Appreciate the help.
