My understanding from some fellow reefers is that corals feed at night. If this is true is it best not to run my skimmer at night? And only run it during the daylight hours. Or is the opposite true?? :?:
I run my skimmer 24/7. Some corals feed more at night, but I think the benefits of better aeration outweigh any loss of food that might be happening in my tank. That might not be true fo all tanks, however.
Randy thanks for your input here. Whats your or anybodys take on on running a closed loop only at night? I am thinking better feeding with more circulation??? What do you all think??
