my reef as been runnin fo 2 years,just before xmas i decided to upgrade my filter,my fluval 304 canister was 4 year old it started gettin noisy and it was loosing its flow rate.
i bought a interpet prime 30 canister which i added on the 13th of december,running along side my old fluval 304,i checked my water and everything was ok,after 6 week i removed the old fluval so my tank was running on on the prime cannister,whith in days i started gettin small readings of niterite.
i thought 6 week would be long enough to mature any filter,even though this tank was fully matured before the new filter was added,all my live stock seem ok and so far ive sufferd no loss,it as been 2 month now and iam still gettin pockets of niterite.
ive checked all other water params and everything is ok
