You'd have something like Tropic Marin's Biocalcium. The problem is that the solids can be slow to dissolve in the tank water, risking having solids settle on corals and such, harming them. Folks that use Biocalcium have often reported that problem. Mixing the solids to get an even blend may also be tricky.

yes ive been using redsea's calk. its a one part balanced addition. i always add to the sump and therefore have never had a problem with solids getting on corals. the instructions have a warning suggesting only adding to the sump.
it would seem that if the agents were sifted an even blend could be achieved.
other than what you have mentioned, do you see any other problems? how about including epson salt with the dry mix?

tagging along, I'd like to hear about solid form possibility. I'm going to start using the dissolved mix for now though, thanks for your efforts Randy!

Yes, you can put them all into a dry mix.

Still, for folks who haven't used it (which includes myself), I'd just point out that many folks have turned away from one part solid additives due to irritation of corals by the solids if they get to them before dissolving.
