I have determined that Instant Ocean, with Ca of 380, is improved for water changes with the addition of 1/2 tsp./5 gal. of Turbo Calcium, which takes the Ca to 420. This keeps tank Ca at about 400, and Alk seems to remain OK with no other additions.
I do not have test kits for Iodine, Strontium or Magnesium, and wondered if anyone has figured out a similar formula for addition of these or other elements to improve the basic Instant Ocean formula.
