I've been reading the articles on calcium and alkalinity and pH by Randy Holmes-Farley. Since I have low calcium and high alk, (320 ppm/3.2Meq/L) I should add Ca and NO CARBONATE, according to the Ca/alk article, but I also need to raise my pH, which is at 8.1. Since I'm not running a Ca reactor and I am running a skimmer, it makes it seem like I should add kalkwasser, which has carbonate. There is plenty of fresh air from my tree filled neighborhood wafting in from a nearby window. What should I do?

You do not need to raise your pH. What you need is to avoid it to get above 8.5/8.6 pH, when the carbonate/bicarbonate systems starts to cause problems reducing alkalinity.
Dosing calcium Hydroxide will raise your Ca++ levels, but, again, you do not need more than 380 ppm Ca++, and if you observe alk lowering down to 2.3/2.5, don't bother - it's the NSW level, and perfect to run a reef system.
