I currently use a CO2 reactor for calcium addition, with pH controller and top up with Kalkwasser + acetic acid. I am finding it difficult ot maintain calicum around 400ppm without additional calcium suppplements. Has anyone had any experience using Seachem Reef Advantage Calcium instead of Kalkwasser as I have heard that by using this as the top up + calcium via CO2 calcium reactor would eliminate needs for supplemental dosing to maintain calcium & alkalinity.
Current water parameters = Ca 400mg/l pH 8.2 alkalinity 11oDh (3.9meq/l). 600 litre using approx 25 to 30mg/l calium per day :?:

I think 400ppm is just fine. I run between 325ppm and 375ppm 4-4.2meq/L and things grow very well. I strugled for more than a year to keep Ca at 425-475ppm and finaly gave up. Honestly I think things have grown even beter since I stoped trying so hard to acheive such high numbers. :) :) Just my 2cents.
