Hello everyone. I have decided to take up dosing. I have my mixes done (randy's recipe type 2).
Here is my problem. I know i need to dose the same amount of each alk and calcium. I got my par's to 450 and 9.3, and didn't dose for 4 days. During that time I tested.
My par's dropped by an average of 7.5ppm Cal and .575dKh Alk.
Now to dose for 450ppm Calc and 10.0dKh Alk, the dosing calculator says I need 61.2ml's of Cal and 32.8ml of Alk. Do I choose one volume or the other? Should I split the difference between the 2?
Thanks guys.
BTW, I was dosing incorrectly in the beginning, and changing the amounts to compensate for any differences, which I realized was wrong after I re read the dosing article again.
Also, I have a mixed reef tank. Mostly lps and softies, but I also have a few digi's, an acro frag and a pink birdsnest
