Anyone know if the Red Sea Pro Potassium and Pro Iodine test kits are accurate? The potassium kit is actually a titration test, not a turbidity test. And, the Iodine test uses some sort of iodine standard solution. Is their chemistry bona fide?
As far as the Iodine test, they are giving you a Iodine std so you can check the kit. Think of it like a pH std. You test your water and it says pH 8.0, so you test your meter or kit with a pH 8.0 std to see if it reads 8.0 like you tank water.
