tell ya what....since

craig organized the event last week and

liz went overboard with the food and

i got some needed/good stuff and

i got an great suggestion on how to kill alota noise from my durso ( i'd heard it before but the unanimous voice of the meet made it seem crazy not to try it)

and MR has always been a major source of help with my tank......

i'll offer to host a connecticut/westchester pig roast this spring or summer in stamford. i picked up a pig roaster a few years ago and it seems a shame not to use it mor often. you all bring beer and i'll spring for a medium size pig. isnt that expensive and i'll still consider myself ahead.

go for the summer months and you could try dipping yourself and your favorite livestock in the pool.

come to think of it, jason's (see thread on Greenwich Aquaria) is only a few miles down the road from me and its gotta be open by then.....

just an idea

STEVE!!!:scratchch

Shoot for three dates of your availability...then take a vote.

A suggestion for you...

See if you can create a SW Chapter of the CT club. This way you could car pool up when they have a speaker (or anything that interets you) - this year they have had some great speakers like Hiller, Jedlicki, Marini, Burger and Paletta. They had an Atlantis tour and stopped in Bridgeport to pick up members. When they are having a down month, do a local get together.

You could put together a tank tour which I am sure members from all over the state would be interested in.

This way, your $20 a year dues would give you good speakers, some great group buys (they have 250 members and been getting some great deals) and discounts to a lot of stores in CT (should you decide to do a road trip).

How far are you willing to travel for a meeting? Maybe they could move the meetings more toward Wallingford area.

I think a "Fairfield County" chapter would be really nice since there seem to be a lot of people who are close to NY, but way too far from Manchester and everything past Hartford. I've personally attended a handful of meetings that were in the New Haven area, but it is much harder for me to take the time to travel over 1.5 hours up to where meetings are held regularly.

Anywhere in Fairfield County would be Sweet! :)
