new frag wont open

im really not sure of the name, the guy at the FS had an accent lol Its red with long polyps. I can take a picture if it helps. Iv had it in the tank now for a few days and it has yet to open half way. what could this be? i started it out on the bottom of the tank, and moved it closer to the light thinking it would help.

thank you for that link, idk how you called it but its a red goniopora with purple dots. i moved it down to the bottom and away from strong current and just today its starting to open up. picky little things. i hope they fully open in there new location, ill post a pic when it does. thanks!

No problem. The red goni was one of my first frags. It was a noob buy for. The thing still has never fully extended it's polyps.

I got it to open up nice after relocating, but after reading that they are hard to keep in a smaller tank, its up for sale in the marketplace, its a great looking coral.

Mine has never opened up that much. What kinda lights are you running? Maybe I should move mine.
