Leather Cabbage Coral

A year ago I bought a Leather Cabbage Coral and added it my tank. 6 months ago it started to streach. The bottom halve began to fall away from the rest of the coral and several days ago it fell off. All throught this the coral was out, but a dark pink, while the top was light pink. When the frag fell I placed it near the other half and the new half has since turned pink. Should I have done anything differently?

Nope, it sounds like you're definitely on the right track. Congratulations on the new frag!

LEathers drop frags from time to time. My devil's hand just dropped 4 in the past month. You should try to get it to attach to something. I rubber band mine to rocks. You want to put it on losse. Their are other methods, but this works for me. Congrats on the baby. Once it is attached you can trade it for something else.
