Prop lighting quuestion

I am setting up a prop tank that will be 36"Lx16"wx12"h. I plan on growing out some rics shroom, candy canes and zoos. My question is should I go witth a 250w or 150w 24" SE MH fixture. I also want to have the option to prop some sps in the future. Any suggestions would be nice.

250 or 400w DE

DE is NOT an option. Keep in mind this tank is only 12" tall. Dont want to fry everythign, and i think 400w wouuld do that.

At 12" hig either would be fine. You may have less heat issues with the 150.

I made prop tanks that I made out of acrylic...2'w x 4'l x 1'h. I use a single 250wattDE over each one that is 2' above the water...light lovers in the center...shrooms and softies in the corners. Works great!
