A few days ago, I noticed a branch on the bottom of the tank, now another piece seems to be breaking off.According to Borneman's "Aquarium Corals", this is how they propagate. Will it attach to something by itself, or should I glue or band it onto something? Thanks in advance.

Either stick it in a low flow area with some live rock rubble underneath it and it'll attach on its own or superglue it to some rubble. Both will work. :)

I like to use rubber bands. This trick is to put it on tight enough just to hold it in place. It works on most sot corals. I have had no luck with colt using this method.

Just wedge it in a hole or between liverock pieces and put some "Coral Accel" in the tank. Keep water quality perfect and it will attach n about a week.
