I was just given what I believe to be an LTA which is a deep purple with green tips that has a gash on its foot. Is there anything I can do to help it heal, and what are the chances that it will heal/survive at all? I have it in a holding container to keep it separate from the tank so I can keep an eye on it and so that it doesn't crawl behind the rocks. It is partially open with only a few tentacles shriveled up.

i onced tried to remove my bta and yanked it real hard and ripped half its foot in two...i didn't think it would survive, but i left it where it was anyway. So anyways after a few weeks, it healed right up and is bigger than ever right now.

Not sure what you can do to help it heal faster thro, i would try feeding it a little (when i ripped my bta it didn't eat anything cause there was a huge hole into its stomach):happysad:
