I bought these babies nearly 3 years ago from Dr. Mac and they never looked blue in my tank until I moved them into a semi-shaded area on the bottom under a 400 watt Radium. In any case I'm lovin' em now :D, but I'm wondering if anyone else has had a similar experience.

wow those are insane looking :shocked1: !!! Me want
I always have an iffy time with blue zoos, but those that have done well do better on the sand in my tank. 150watt hqi's on a 72 bow.

First come first serve . . .

Well I guess you'll be first in line when I get this baby onto some frag discs! I'd honestly love to see what they do under a 150; somehow I think they'd be even happier. Might have to ship out a free sample just to see how they do in someone else's tank :biggrinpa

Very nice zoos :)

I also find the same to be true..blues (as well as any purple zoas) need to as low as possible for them to thrive. My blue palys couldn't care less and are up high.
Go figure.
