i bought this coral at the swap,what should i feed it ,lighting ,and water movement does it require? thanks

nope,thats why im asking now,ive had a sun coral for over a year and i just dont know if they require the same care.

sorry to semi hijack the thread, along the same lines, how often does it require feeding? could it go like 2 weeks without a feeding or does it need to be fed everyday?

when i bought i knew i could take care of it since ive had duncan and sun corals for over a year both healthy,aquatic i bought it from a really pretty asian girl:biggrin:

should i place the dendro coral in a shadow area like i would the other sun coral(the first pic)or should i place it on the bottom in the open where some light is able to hit it?

No shade needed.
Not the same as a SunCoral.

Search "Dendro" here on the forum. There is some good info posted about it.

Lana, mine is at the bottom center getting plenty of light. I feed mine every other day(sometimes every day) cyclopeeze & mysis, sometimes Rod's food. I never have them go more then a couple of days.

I spot fed mine in the begining but I don't anymore since I feed cyclopeeze to tank once a week. As far as placing ,mine is in full light because of where I wanted it though Lighting is immaterial to them. The flow in that area is about medium
