Ok, I very carefully planned and measured my egg crate for my walls. I zip tied the rocks to it. I used the yellow Great Stuff foam insulation in a can. I let that cure for several days. Then I used a two part epoxy that I covered in sand to cover the foam. Then I let that cure for the past week or four. Now, when I went to put the walls into the tank, I discover that one of the walls is about .5 inches too tall. I can cut that from the bottom and it should then fit. But, if I cut that do I need to put more of the epoxy on the cut edges since it will be covered by 1.5 inches of sand. I though that the UV from the lights was what broke the foam down and since the cut edge would be under sand . . . .

Thoughts?

I am just starting to aquascape and was thinking of using waterfall foam. My question is whether it is permanent or if down the road I decide to make changes I can take the rocks back apart and refoam and reconfigure? I am hoping to not have to use something like epoxy where I can't then make changes.

Deff dont use the Great stuff foam!!!!!! There are numurus threads on other Forums about problems with leaching using that stuff. Gray Pond foam, Does not have to be covered, it looks great out of the can.

When I did mine I foamed the rocks in then pulled the foam off little bit by pinching it. It gave it a more natural look. ITs been in my tank for almost 2 years and is now covered with life!.
