DIY Stand for a Solana 34g

I want to make one that is pretty sturdy. Should just got with 2 x 4's or is that overkill for this kind I project? Maybe 2x3s? Or even straight plywood? Any suggestions would be appreciated.

How has that held up for your Solana? 1/2" plywood doesn't sound like it provides enough support to me. I could be wrong.

i would got with the 2x4s thats just me ... i used 2x4s and 2x6s it maybe an overkill but i can sleep at night

I built my stand for my 100 gallon rimless and i used 2x6 but i was in florida and my friends who is the owner of house of fins in miami laugh at me when i told him i used 2x6 and showed my a stand that they was making over there and used ply wood only and it was for a 150 gallon.

Wound up building it myself. Home depot cuts aren't exactly precise but I made due.
