hello m/r i just got done setting up my frag tank next to my dt. size is 24x18x8. its acrylic with over flow built it in. its beautiful tank. i couldn't wait to set it up. i build stand with 2x4's and plumbed it right in my from and to my existing 75 gal sump for dt. i built rack from egg crate from lowes and then built little rack for my led fixture that i built long time before for my fuge, these are 2x20w 20000k color temp led's and they are running with two buck pucks from led supply and computer power supply. i am very happy with results and shimmer is just beautiful and i have 1 aqueon 500 gph powerhead for circulation. water is crystal clear and i tell youi am not strong believer in acrylics but clearity is just amazing but i have to be very carefull when its cleaning time . i have added some frags already from dt and they have openend up pretty nice. any comments and suggestions please lmk, that can help me get better at this. below are some pics. there are some pics of diy frag rack that i built from left over eg crate and i have used clear acrilic rod that i bought from lowes these are mainly used for blids and i just bent them with heatgun and gave them shape. very easy 10 min project and it can hold plenty of frags and does not block the light either i have added to my dt and its mounted right against my over flow box.
