you can use mine as a template just make the distance between baffles depending on what equipment you have and what you are looking to do with it....

I am running a NAC 7 in my 30l sump.

10" baffle height. Puts it right in midrange of skimmer adjustment.

Skimmer/sock section is 10" long. Fuge is 16" long. Return section is 7" long. The rest of the 36" length is used up by bubble trap. ImageUploadedByTapatalk1355001840.960935.jpg

make the drain chamber just large enough to fit your skimmer. and make the return chamber as big as you could to hold more water (this will help you a lot if you do manual top off)

I wouldnt make the return chamber as big as you can because that space can come in handy in other areas of the sump. He should have an ato for stability. Make the fuge and skimmer area as big as you can, so he can upgrade the skimmer to a bigger footprint if ever needed and have enough space for a great fuge.

+1

also maybe move the fuge before the skimmer so it can get more nutrients for pods and other microfauna in it before it is taken out by the skimmer
