+1I wouldnt make the return chamber as big as you can because that space can come in handy in other areas of the sump. He should have an ato for stability. Make the fuge and skimmer area as big as you can, so he can upgrade the skimmer to a bigger footprint if ever needed and have enough space for a great fuge.

if you are speaking of the nutrients as in phosphates/nitrates etc that is true....but those pods/brittle stars/worms/mysid shrimp etc love fish poop and detritus and breed more quickly in my personal experience in this wayIf the skimmer took out the nutrients that fuge needed, you wouldn't need the fuge
