Here's a shot of the outlet module model that I've been working on. This will house the relay board, a terminal strip for connections, and 8 NEMA outlets. External connections will be a power cable to the wall for outlet power, an RJ45 jack for the 8 relays, and an RJ11 jack to power the relays with 5v.

I could use a 10 pin cable for the signal and power, but I'm trying to keep it as universal as possible so that anyone can build one or replace cables with a trip to Radio Shack instead of having to wait 2 weeks for parts.

The empty space below the logo will likely have an LED indicator strip to show which outlets are active.

Here's the cost breakdown on this part. You can save about $15 if you get a project box from Radio Shack to put this in, instead of getting a custom enclosure built. I also put a cost comparison to the Digital Aquatics Power Strips below for reference. The 8 outlet Beerfish unit costs less to make than a 4 outlet PC4.

Relay Board: $11.99 Sain Smart
10 US 3 Pins Power Socket Plug 125V 15A: $6.92 Amazon
8-Position Dual-Row Barrier Strips: $3.49 Radio Shack
Cat 5e Jack / RJ11 Jack: $10 Estimated (I buy in bulk, so I'm not 100% on this)
Power Jack: $2 Estimated
Misc LED, Cable, Etc... : $10 Estimated
3D Printed Enclosure: $20 Estimated

Beerfish Total: $64.40
2 DA PC4 units: $179.98
--------------------------
Savings: $115.58
