I have a 6 ft long tank, it was custom made for a peninsula, and there is only one overflow on the end. It was suggested to me to use both holes in the overflow for 2 drains. The 1.5 inch for a sump and the one inch for a fuge. The return will be able to come up outside the tank because of the way I framed around the tank. Any thoughts or suggestions?
Thanks

I ran my return up over the top of the tank and tee?d it off to four LocLines. Here is the plumbing before the LocLine was installed. I would think with you only having the end of the tank, you could easily fit two.

Are you looking to use a durso drain? if the tank is in a TV room and noise is an issue (usually is) than I would suggest using the "herbie method" where you use 1 main drain with a gate valve that goes to your sump. You can tee off in the sump with a valve and bring that line to the fuge and summerge the line in the fuge water.

Let the second drain in the tanks overflow become your emergency overflow. If you don't have another hole for a return than go with the return line over the back of the tank as redfishblewfish recommended.

Try googling "herbie method" or if you can have more holes drilled go with the "bean animal" AKA "Silent and Safe overflow system".

Check it out on youtube much quieter and the tank becomes more enjoyable for the entire family.
