wetsand/polish acrylic

I recently got a pretty scratched tank from a member attempting to fix it up...
Started wetsand with 600 then to 1500
Buffed using rubbing compound
Polished with metal polish

Nice shine and looks 80% better
Deep scratches gone
Looks much clearer
But....

Still have those lil tiny scratches that you can only see when the light hits it at s certain angle

Do I have to use a finer grit ?
Should I invest in the novus products?
Thanks for any help and im also willing to pay to have it cleaned up to a new look

You should use grits up to 8-12000, then use Novus #3, then #2
I've done 20 yr old tanks that now look like new

i need to do this to our tank. cause there is scratches on the front... pisses me off.
