This is a placeholder for my upcoming LED build

Moving contents of my 45Gal - 3 foot tank on the main floor to a 55Gal - 4ft tank in my basement office. This Tank will most likely remain there for the long Haul. However, during the summer I will be adding a larger show tank to my living room and plumb them all together to a basement Sump.

I am doing a 48 LED fixture mounted in a canopy. Using this as an experiment to see how DIY goes and to see if China LEDS deliver :)

Here are the parts I've ordered/acquired:

Bridgelux LEDS (Aliexpress from China) - Ordered not recevied yet:

20 Blue @ 460nm~475nm
10 Super Blue @ 440nm~460nm
20 Whites @ 4500K~10000K
5 Red @ 620nm~630nm
5 Green @ 515nm~535nm
50 Lenses @ 80degrees

Drivers (coralux.com) - RECEIVED:
4 x LDD-700H Meanwell
1 Coralux driver board

Power (LEDGroupbuy) - RECEIVED:
48V/150w Power supply
50ft of wire
2 orders of Thermal Adhesive

Heatsinks (Heatsinkusa) - RECEIVED:

4 - 2x18 inch heatsinks (was the cheapest option for this experiment)

For the 55, I may just go 2:1 Blues to White and forgo the Reds and Greens I ordered. Maybe I'll just use them for the refugium in a seperate little 10LED build.

Or, I may add a couple of them into the White Strings.

So my current thought process is...

2 strings of 12 Blue/SBlue
1 string of 12 White/Blue
1 string of 12 White

But.. I'm VERY open to suggestions... Should I bring the Reds/Greens into this?

Anyway.. I'll post pics if it's not too Ghetto looking :)

So, NO Violet, NO Purple i mean , NO UV ?!
I like better Cyan then Green (505 nm) may be just me. From 440 nm, down u got nothing ?! u may need just 2 Deep Reds and 2 Cyan (in stand of Green) that my opinion.

I was anxiously awaiting your reply vio... :)

I will build it with just the Blues and whites then add a 5th driver for the full spectrum LEDS in phase 2.

The mistake I made was only ordering the Coralux 4 driver board. I should have ordered the 5 or even the 6 so I could add another driver. But I'll just order the version where the wires get soldered directly to the driver.

So, pretend this is an old fixture running 48 BLue/White LEDS at a 2:1 ratio. If you wanted to add another string of LEDS to make it full spectrum, what would you add?

Hey.. Yep...

LEDS all attached to heatsinks and all wired up.

Drivers soldered to Coralux driver board.

I just need to figure out a way to test the lights without pulling apart my entire controller from the running tank.

I have the 6 port dimming module that I need to add to my system.

Most likely I will test it this afternoon.

I'll take some pics
