Thanks dean, I saw those links a couple of times, but I was kind of looking for a step by step instruction kind of thing. And How does it work? When does it know how to activate the .....I dont even know. What if there is no phosphate in the water and the reactor will still run? Won't it be over doing it?

doesn't hurt to overdo it. chances r, po4 is constantly slowly leaching into water by various means.
a phosphate reactor is just a canister where water goes in n water goes out thru which forces it thru media thats placed in the canister. the flow direction is forced upwards to prevent media from flowing out cause po4 absorbing media is very fine. flow rate is slow as oppose to carbon, to give greater water/media contact time.
