Actaully this can be used for all sorts of equipment. (Reactor is a Deltec PF600S) Holds 33lbs of media!
I wanted to move my reactor from a shelf on the wall to my new sump for two reasons.
1- more room around back of tank and can use shelf for other purposes or remove it completely.
2- any leaks or seeping of the valves which happens occasionally will let the water leak back into the sump and not on the floor.
I put my reactor on a scale and it came in at a whopping 58lbs! Needless to say I needed to build something that could do the job.
In the following pics the street ells are for lateral stability as I did not want to depend on two seperate structures to stay put. So the 90's keep the stand together from front to back and the pipe between the cross tees hold it together side to side.
