DIY Back Up Battery ??

With the storm in the NorthEast area it just hit me that a power outage would put a hurt in my 110gallon tank.

Anyone know of a backup battery that I can put together just to keep my pumps going?

I tried a search and nothing came up.

Depends what kinda pumps you have. Manufacturer, Voltage (AC or DC), Position (return or circulation).

if your pumps are designed to run on 12volts a car battery will work. you can buy the plug for the pump side, and a set of alligator clips at radio shack.
