From that site i bought the D82e and the DC2E. I used a combination of 2 smaller with 2 of the bigger. They weren't strong enough to hold my mjmod. Maybe 4 of the larger ones but I'm not sure. I ended up buying the magfloats and tearing them apart for the magnets. So a combination of the magfloats with the other magnets did it for me. I think the magfloats were about the size of the DC4 or the DC6 on the site.

You probably need 4 for each the seio side of the mount and 4 for the outside. Get extra just in case or just go for the larger magnets.

I used Castin' Craft Clear Polyester Casting resin with Catalyst to make the blocks to put the magnets in. Found a container at the dollar store that was the right size to use as a mold. Made a few mistakes but was able to break the blocks open to reuse the magnets. I'm pretty happy with the way they came out.

If I had to do it all over again I would probably try to find a single magnet probably square or retangular that would be strong enough to hold the mj ups. Its just easier then allianing up the magents to make sure that when you put them together the poles are facing the right direction.

Here's a link to the resin. I got it at canal plastics but recently saw them available at Michaels. There is a dye you can add to the resin to make it any color you like.

I glued my 1500s to MagFloat 350s. For the 2600, you'd need at least the Mag Float 500 or some comparable brand.

Deanos, mag float 500s are like 100 bucks theres no way i'm spending that much to hold my powerheads up. I was hoping to spend a few bucks on magnets and just silicone them together. guess not. :frown:
