Doser parts.

I've been looking for a cheap perlistatic pump for a while now to make a doser for my tank. And i came up with this website off a link somewhere.....

http://www.welco.net/index2.html

And they have perl pumps for dosing laundry detergent and other things, and they have a small nano version of the pumps they put out. I heard through different websites that the pumps are good, don't break and are accurate to the smaller measurement than a Ml (its late and i don't feel like finding out what it actually is and its slipping off the tip of my tongue).

Now on the site it states they are offering free pumps to engineers.

So i emailed them and stated how much each is and the cost of shipping and told them what i plan on doing with them and pretty much threw a line out to see if a fish would catch, nowhere implying i was looking for a free pump. And they gave me this response....

Dear Mr. fdghfdgh,

Thank you for your inquiry!
Is it for the individual/hobby use or commercial?
If the former, we can not offer our pump.
The price of WPX-1 pump is @USD89.- (Freight excluded)
Freight cost is around USD42.-

So i emailed them back and stated that it was for commercial use and i was developing a doser for aquariums and stated my company name and they emailed me back saying they were excited about our interest and sent me a form to fill out and fax to them and they would send me a free pump, and if i need more one for every form i send them.

Give them a try if your looking for a perl pump. It took about 5 days to get the first response, the second response was about 3 hours after i sent the email. =0)

I have the PDF file for the form if anyone wants. They usually give out free ones at medical supplies/engineering shows, which i heard is a cool way of getting all sorts of cool items like this but the next one is around june/may time in new york.

Just thought i should let you guys know.

I contacted them to give it a shot. I received a reply in very choppy english

"To settle our pump under the condition of salt water is not available
because of the material..."

I think this is the reef version of "all your base are now belong to us"
(any fellow computer geeks following this reference?)

Bottom line, no free pump. :(
