Hello reefers, Here is my DIY Algae scrubber that has been running for over 2 years and it has been working great with plenty of harvest, I am planning on building bigger since I have upgraded to bigger tank.. I made this out of Wood which is sealed with 2 part epoxy and glass from lowes, 1" bulk head for drain and ball valve to control the flow, DIY 1w red led fixture which is on both sides of scrubber. I clean every 2 weeks with plenty of green alage,

Thanks,

Rav

I am on heavy side when it comes to food so I have no issues with that, I have been using algae scrubber from many years and never had any issue with chemicals or keeping invertebrates, right now i have 5 xl cleaner shrimps that I bought when they were tiny and 2 salifoot crabs and snails, never had issue keeping them.. I have only seen positive results
