Don't Like The Eggcrate Look...

I Hook Up My Luner's And With The Eggcrate On Top Of The Tank It Makes The Tank Look Like A Jail...thinking On Changing Out The Eggcrate For Acrylic With Holes. Will I Still See Round Shadows? Just Wanted To See If Anyone Has Used Acrylic Before I Spend The Money And Get Disgusted.

Go to Home Depot and buy some mesh. It will be in the gardening section...it's used to keep birds off shrubs, etc.

Acrylic with holes will require more frequent cleaning than eggcrate.

I Know, The Mesh Sounds Good. My Dragon Eel Is Going In Once The Tank Finishes Cycling And I Do Not Want To See Him On The Floor. Does Anyone Have A Link To A Thread That Someone Used Mesh On The Top Of Their Tank.
