Hey all. As you can see This is my first post. I have been reading a ton on here and other places recently. My plan is this. I am going to set up a coral reef tank. I have read a ton and decided I want to add a sump. This will be a small tank (29 gallon). Where would I want to drill for the bulkhead? Please bear in mind that this will be in a bedroom so noise is an issue. I do have 3 tanks in the room right now so I am naturaly used to some noise. What I have gathered is that most drill as low as possible on the back wall. Should I put this in the center or in the corner? What size is best? I was thinking 1 inch for both intake and return. Here is my dilema. With the holes drilled as low as possible there is no way that my also small sump will be able to hold all that water in a power outage. This is why I am thinking of putting them higher.
ANY sugestions will be much appreciated. Oh I am having a local glass place do the drilling.
Thanks a bunch
Mike
